Tetra AquaArt light (update 3)

The efficient Customer Services department at Tetra contacted me today regarding my light problems. They have offered me another replacement lid and to take my current lid in for investigation. They have been very fair but I’m getting tired of these ongoing problems. I almost feel like saying ‘forget it’ so I don’t have to put my life on hold waiting for delivery and mess around trying to detach one lid and attach another (one of the plastic screws that holds the lid in place has cracked already). However, I will have a think over the weekend and make a balanced decision on Monday!

Tetra AquaArt light (update)

Well, my new lid arrived and everything was great. I could see the molly babies who have been growing fast. Then, yesterday, the light went out and will not switch on. I contacted TetraUK by email 24 hours ago but they haven’t got back to me yet. It sounds so implausible: the replacement for the faulty lid being faulty itself. I’m wondering if anyone else is having similar problems with their Tetra AquaArt light. If not, then I’m just very unlucky!

Tetra AquaArt light (update)

Having contacted TetraUK, it appears my aquarium lid is one of a faulty batch – just my luck! However, Tetra have been brilliant and dealt with the problem speedily. Apparently, a new lid will arrive in the next couple of days (free of charge, of course!). I’m really looking forward to being able to see my baby mollies again!

Tetra AquaArt light

I switched on my Tetra AquaArt light and nothing happened. Darkness. I’ve had the tank running for under a month with occasional use of the light. I am hoping that the bulb will not need replacing at such an early stage.
